This is where teacher and pupil spend time together to learn a new skill. Here, we read our Guided Reading books, learn new Maths skills or complete phonics tasks.
Specially designed garden for BláthnanÓg classes. Children are allowed to socialise with each other and play friendly games with each other.
Children from mainstream also visit and we observe wildlife and tend to the flowers. The boys also have access to two sandpits outside each classroom which are covered with a canopy so that even on wet days they can play outside and get some fresh air.
There is quick access to the toilet and hygiene area from the classroom. Hygiene is very important.
We will be washing our hands several times a day. We want everybody to be healthy and happy. If you need to, we can help you to brush your teeth, clean and cut your nails.
Our U-Shaped table can be used for group learning activities. It allows us to practice our listening and speaking skills.
We love to check our school calendar when we sit here and talk about the weather outside. It is a lovely place to share news. We can listen to and look at picture books.
We are very lucky to have such modern interactive boards. We can play fun and educational games as well as listening to and singing songs.
Here is where you complete some tasks on your own. Examples include handwriting, maths tasks, responding to and reading books and fine motor skills activities. We are always nearby if you need help.
We always check our schedule when sitting here.
Each box has work in it to complete. You take your work from left to right and top to bottom. When you are finished you place your work in the finished tray.
Next we will all gather at the horse table to catch up on our news, talk about the calendar and the weather. We will do some maths or English from the board.
The fish and sea horses have found it so quiet in school without you. They are as excited as us to see you again.
Jump on top or hide inside! The hut is just as much fun as it has always been.
After this our schedule will lead us to our work stations. Here we will find the work that we will try to do on our own.
We will remember to take the work from the boxes on the left and put them into the boxes on the right. The stars in front will tell us how many boxes we have to do.
Our multi purpose table has been so lonely without you all. We can’t wait to get back to doing our art, jigsaw, sand play, free writing and lego here.
Teacher then calls us to the teacher table. Here we will try new work that might be a bit trickier and we might need more help with.
The stars in front of us on the desk will tell us how many pieces of work we must do before we can go to the garden or multi purpose or sensory room.
Let’s see who can climb to the top of the padded climbing frame. You’ve probably grown so much that you can almost touch the ceiling when you’re up there.
We bet you can’t wait to jump into this huge ball pit once again boys. You can jump and play or just lie and enjoy the relaxing feeling.
Which texture did you moss most? Run your fingers over the shapes on the wall to remind yourself.
Sit back on the beanbag and chill out watching the wonderful shapes and colours that appear on the wall.
The amazing swing has been so still without you all. You will be able to swing left and right or forward and back really soon!
The wonderful feeling of squeezing through the body roller is not too far away.
We hope you haven’t lost your love of bouncing. The springs on the trampoline are ready for you and the mirror has been cleaned so you can watch how high you can go.
